Eligibility Criteria for the Position

Educational Qualifications:

  • Xth Standard: Must have passed the 10th standard examination conducted by any government-recognized board or institute.
  • Diploma in Cooking/Culinary Arts: A minimum of one year of full-time diploma in cooking or culinary arts from a recognized institute is required.
    • Ex-Servicemen Exception: Ex-servicemen candidates without a diploma can apply if they possess a trade or competency certificate in the cooking or catering field issued by a competent authority.

Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of cooking experience in a prestigious hotel, restaurant, government department, or undertaking is necessary.

Method of Selection:

  1. Written Test: This test consists of two parts:
    • General Knowledge with multiple choice answers (objective type) – 30 marks
    • Written test on cooking/culinary arts (objective type) – 70 marks The written test is conducted in bilingual (English and Hindi) and has a duration of 1 ½ hours (90 minutes). There is no negative marking.
  2. Practical Trade Skill Test in cooking: This test is designed to assess the candidate’s practical skills in cooking. It is worth 70 marks.
  3. Interview: The interview is the final stage of the selection process. It is worth 30 marks.

The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks secured by the candidates in all three stages of the selection process.

The Supreme Court of India is inviting applications for the post of Junior Court Attendant (Cooking Knowing). The online application process starts on August 23, 2024, and the last date to submit applications is September 12, 2024. Candidates can apply online through the Supreme Court website at www.sci.gov.in.

  5. Pay the application fee online. The fee is Rs.400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen/Dependent of Freedom Fighters/ Widow/ Divorcee Women/ Judicially separated Women and are not re-married).  
  6. Preview and submit the application form.
  7. Take a printout or screenshot of the submitted application for your records.
  8. Note down your application number for future reference.
