Horizontal Reservations and Category Guidelines for Rajasthan High Court Recruitment:
Horizontal Reservations: Women (including widows and divorced women), ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities are given reservations within their respective categories.
Adjustments within Categories: Horizontal reservation ensures that applicants from specific categories are accommodated within their own category, such as Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Most Backward Class, Economically Weaker Section, and General Category.
Vacancies Filling: If eligible candidates from reserved categories are not available, vacant posts will be filled according to the Rajasthan High Court Staff Service Rules, 2002.
General Category Concessions: Reserved category applicants applying for general category posts must not have availed any other concessions except for the examination fee.
Creamy Layer Categories: Applicants from creamy layer categories of Other Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, and Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes from states other than Rajasthan, as well as economically weaker section and ex-servicemen, are considered under the general category.
Residency Requirement: Posts reserved for specific categories are only for original residents of Rajasthan. Applicants from other states under these categories must apply under the general category.
Marriage Residency: Women from states outside Rajasthan who become residents of Rajasthan after marriage should also apply under the general category.
